The MaxPreps Top 25 high school football rankings will be impacted by a showdown Friday in Texas when No. 4 Duncanville meets No. 17 DeSoto.
Duncanville is 4-0 and has won 11 in a row dating back to last season. The last loss came against DeSoto, the only setback Keelon Russell has suffered as the program's starting quarterback.
Russell is 33-1 during his career and has led Duncanville to back-to-back Class 6A Division 1 state titles. Through four games this season he has thrown for 1,437 yards and 20 touchdowns while completing 75 percent of his passes. The Alabama pledge added 19 carries for 101 yards and another score. ...
