Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) takes over as the consensus No. 1 ranked team in this week's top 25 media composite high school football rankings following an upset late Saturday in Hawaii.
High School Football America had St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) as its top team prior to this week, but the Braves fell 30-23 to Kahuku (Hawaii). The Red Raiders went from unranked to No. 13 overall. Despite the upset, Blue Star Media held the Hawaii squad out of its Top 25 which hurt their overall rating.
