After winning three games in a row following an 0-2 start, Centennial (Corona) became the seventh team from California currently in the MaxPreps Top 25 high school football rankings.

Five-star quarterback Husan Longstreet missed their first game of the season for Centennial, a 42-25 loss against No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana), and split time under center in a 31-15 loss against Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita).
