The Astros have claimed reliever Mickey Storey off waivers from the Yankees, the club announced Thursday.
Storey, 26, made his major league debut last season with the Astros. The righty tossed 30 1/3 innings with a 3.86 ERA and 34 strikeouts against just 10 walks. Storey spent most of the last three seasons at the Triple-A level, where he has a 3.51 ERA in 110.1 career innings, including a 3.81 K/BB.
Storey was claimed off waivers from the Astros on Nov. 20 by the Yankees. The Yankees designated him for assignment Nov. 30.
