The Athletics recalled infielder Adam Rosales and optioned fellow infielder Brandon Hicks to Triple-A Sacramento, the team tweeted Thursday.

Hicks appeared in 20 games with the Athletics, hitting .183/.246/.417, with eight of his 11 hits going for extra bases. Rosales, 29, has a career .224/.298/.331 line in 222 games.
