The Mariners moved pitcher Blake Beavan up to Triple-A Tacoma to continue his rehab assignment Friday according to The News Tribune, as he works his way back from right shoulder tendinitis.
Beavan, who has been out with the shoulder issue since mid-April, made his rehab debut at Class A Lake Elsinore last week. He will continue his assignment at Tacoma, and will likely make his first start this weekend. Given the extensive layoff, Beavan will likely need the full 30 days allowed for his rehab assignment before he can be activated.
