The Braves cut ties with injured shortstop Jack Wilson Friday.
Wilson has hit .169/.189/.211 in 77 plate appearances this year and finishes his tenure in Atlanta with a .188/.207/.223 line in 122 plate appearances spread over two years.
Paul Janish and Tyler Pastornicky are Atlanta's current shortstops, at least until Andrelton Simmons returns from injury.
Simmons, who has hit .296/.336/.452 in 125 plate appearances during his rookie season, has yet to be scheduled for a rehab assignment, but that should happen after the team talks to doctors tonight, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's David O'Brien.
