The Cubs have agreed to terms with reliever Shawn Camp on a one-year deal, the team announced.
The deal is for $1.35 million, with a chance to make $200,000 based on his performance according to Carrie Muskat of MLB.com. The deal is a pay raise for Camp, who signed for $550,000 last year. Camp was effective out of the Cubs' bullpen in 2012. In 77 2/3 innings, he had a 3.59 ERA and a 3.69 FIP.
In his nine-year career, the 37-year-old right-hander has pitched for the Royals, Rays, Blue Jays and Cubs. He has a 4.29 ERA and a 4.10 FIP in 566 career innings.
