As Jack Moore over at the Rumors blog has already noted, lefty Dallas Braden has opted for free agency after the Oakland Athletics removed him from the 40-man roster and attempted to outright him to Triple-A. It could be viewed as a disappointing end to his Oakland career, what with all the injuries.
But if you thought Dallas Braden would harbor any ill feelings, then you don't know Dallas Braden. Here's a pair of his tweets to bring that home ...
Joe D. thanked the good lord for making him a yankee, I wanna thank the family N Green & Gold 4 making my dreams come true. nothin but love!

And then ...
& OAKTOWN,thanks 4 the love over the years. no better Die-Hards out there. Route 209 will always lead back 2 the bay. take care of my mound!

As Alex Rodriguez can attest, yes, you should take care of Braden's mound ...
Here's hoping Braden makes it back to his major-league mound again.
