Tigers pitcher Drew Smyly was stuck with a loss Sunday after giving up four earned runs on eight hits and two walks in just 2 1/3 innings while striking out three in his team's 6-4 defeat against the Astros.
Smyly (4-7) surrendered three runs in the first inning before pitching a scoreless second. However, his day was over after following up back-to-back doubles with a one-out walk in the third. Smyly owns a 3.57 ERA and 65:26 K:BB ratio in 75 2/3 innings. He's slated to take on the Rays Friday.
