Blue Jays starter Esmil Rogers was no match for Jeremy Hellickson and the Rays Monday night as Toronto's winning streak was halted at 11 games.
Rogers took the loss to fall to .500 at 3-3 on the year with a 3.46 ERA. He surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and three walks over six innings in defeat. He struck out two and surrendered three solo homers.
Rogers, who threw 95 pitches, had won his previous two outings and has pitched quite well for Toronto. He'll look to have a bounce-back performance when he next takes the mound Saturday at Boston.
