Yankees pitcher Esmil Rogers made his debut with his new team Sunday and earned a win, giving up no hits and one walk in three scoreless innings while striking out three in his team's 8-7 victory over the Red Sox.
Rogers (1-0) was claimed off waivers a few days ago, and he gave the Yankees three crucial innings in a game in which the starter lasted just two frames. Rogers owns a 6.08 ERA and 24:8 K:BB ratio in 23 2/3 innings.
