It's a non-binding vote -- in the sense that league/team captains Robinson Cano and Matt Kemp will have the final say on who participates -- but fans have some definite opinions on whom they'd like to see in the upcoming Home Run Derby.
Here's how the voting stands through June 20:
The online ballot, in addition to the above names, also allows voters to choose -- on the AL side -- Jose Bautista, Robinson Cano, Evan Longoria, Miguel Cabrera, Paul Konerko, and Mark Reynolds (eh?). On the NL side, Troy Tulowitzki, Justin Upton, David Wright, Dan Uggla, and Ryan Zimmerman are also options. There's also space for write-in nominees.
I'm assuming there's some support for Bryce Harper and Mike Trout in the write-in category, and I scarcely need mention that Carlos Zambrano deserves a spot.
So, readers, what's your dream derby?
