An MRI on White Sox starting pitcher Gavin Floyd's elbow has revealed no structural damange, according to ESPNChicago.com's Scott Powers.

Floyd, who is 9-9 in 24 starts with a 4.55 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 114 strikeouts in 138.1 innings, pitched just two innings on Sunday before leaving with elbow discomfort.

Floyd is expected to miss his next start, and the White Sox have juggled their rotation this week. Jake Peavy's next start has been moved from Wednesday to Friday to give him extra rest. Options to start Wednesday include Dylan Axelrod, Philip Humber and Hector Santiago.

The White Sox came into Monday's game with a 2.5-game lead on the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central.
