Indians starting pitcher Corey Kluber followed up his 18-strikeout performance in his last start with a 12-K, nine-inning gem on Monday for a no-decision against the White Sox.

"They're a really aggressive lineup," Kluber said, per MLB.com. "And the key is to get ahead and take advantage of it."

Kluber allowed one run in the outing, scored via a wild pitch.

Kluber, the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner, struck out the first five batters he faced and seven of nine, retiring his first 10 overall until Melky Cabrera singled with one out in the fourth.

The performance was Kluber's third game with double-digit strikeouts.

The right hander now as 74 K's in 61 2/3 innings this season, tops in MLB after Monday's action.

"He was so special," Cleveland manager Terry Francona said of Kluber. "He followed up that performance just with… he may have had a better breaking ball [Monday]."

Kluber's next start is set for Saturday against the Reds.
