Indians utility man Zach Walters was released from the hospital earlier this week following a car accident in Las Vegas, reports the Associated Press. The accident occurred Tuesday.
Team spokesman Bart Swain told the Associated Press that "everything to this point has checked out fine," though Swain did say Walters needed stitches over the left eye.
Walters, 26, spent most of the 2015 season in Triple-A, where he hit .249/.310/.416 with 10 home runs in 91 games. He went 4 for 30 (.133) with 15 strikeouts in 12 MLB games.
The Indians acquired Walters from the Nationals in exchange for Asdrubal Cabrera at the 2014 trade deadline. He's a candidate for a bench job heading into 2016.
