Although no official announcement has been made, Rays starting pitcher David Price (triceps) seems destined for a stint on the disabled list and starting pitcher prospect Jake Odorizzi appears to be the most likely candidate to replace the left-hander in the rotation, suggests the Tampa Bay Times.

The Tampa Tribune also suggests Odorizzi is possibly the top candidate to replace Price.

Odorizzi, who was acquired in the James Shields trade this offseason, is 4-0 with a 3.83 ERA and .213 opponents' batting average in eight starts. He has struck out 47, walked 15 and has allowed seven home runs in 44 2/3 innings.
