White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu will have an MRI on his injured ankle, according to CSNChicago.

The club is just being cautious with Abreu, and wants to make sure there's nothing more serious going on with the injury. He's currently expected to return once his 15-day stint is over. General manager Rick Hahn explained that the team will make sure everything is fine now that Abreu is on the DL.  "Since we do now have 15 days, we’re going to take our time to exhaust the possibilities," Hahn said.

Abreu is hitting .260, with 15 home runs, in 173 at-bats.
