White Sox pitcher Jose Quintana tossed a strong start Saturday against the Indians.
Quintana allowed one run on seven hits over six innings. He struck out seven and walked one during the outing. Quintana gave up his only run in the fourth inning. Carlos Santana led things off with a solo home run off Quintana. He nearly got himself in trouble in the fifth, loading the bases with one out. Quintana managed to escape without giving up any runs, though. He was pulled after a scoreless sixth inning. Quintana threw 100 pitches.
Quintana left with the game tied, earning a no-decision. He’ll take on the Athletics in his next start.
