Astros pitcher Josh Fields blew a save opportunity Wednesday for the first time this season, giving up a walkoff three-run home run with one out in the ninth inning of his team's 5-3 loss to the Mariners.
Fields (0-1) gave up singles to the first two batters of the inning before striking out Justin Smoak for his first out. However, Kyle Seager was able to knock his second home run of the day to seal the deal. Fields, who was pitching for the third straight day Wednesday, owns a 4.82 ERA and 12:4 K:BB ratio in 9 1/3 innings.
