Indians pitcher Justin Masterson couldn't complete five innings in a no-decision Saturday, giving up six runs (five earned) on seven hits and five walks in 4 2/3 innings while striking out seven in his team's 12-6 win over the White Sox.
Masterson was given a 3-0 lead after the top of the first but promptly squandered it, giving up four runs in the bottom of the inning. He then surrendered a second-inning solo home run before a bases-loaded ground out scored another run in the sixth. Masterson owns a 5.87 ERA and 15:9 K:BB ratio after the rocky start. He'll likely take on the Tigers in Detroit Thursday.
