Tigers starting pitcher Justin Verlander continued his spring dominance Wednesday against the Phillies and continues to show no lingering issues after undergoing core muscle surgery in January.
Verlander kept his ERA unblemished after throwing 6 1/3 scoreless innings Wednesday. The veteran right-handed hurler allowed one hit and one walk, while striking out seven.
Verlander has not allowed a run in 21 innings this spring (four starts) and has recorded 17 strikeouts. He's allowed just eight hits and five walks.
