Twins starter Liam Hendriks got the start Tuesday at home against Oakland. Hendriks kept the Twins in the game long enough for them to come back and win it late.

The starter settled for a no-decision as he gave up three runs on seven hits and no walks over 5 1/3 innings. Hendriks threw 96 pitches on his outing and struck out six batters. He was hurt only by an Alberto Callaspo two-run homer in the fifth.

Hendriks actually lowered his ERA to 5.25 on the outing. The 24-year-old has shown promise over his seven starts this season, though he's been inconsistent. Hendriks is now part of a six-man rotation for the Twins. He is likely to make his next start Monday at Chicago.
