Padres second baseman Logan Forsythe was out of the lineup Friday against the Braves due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot, but he was still able to take the field as a sub. Forsythe entered the game as a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning and drove in a run on a single to give the Padres a 4-3 win.

It is not clear if Forsythe will be able to play in the field moving forward, or if the injury will limit him to reserve duty moving forward.
