Rays starter Matt Moore (elbow) came off the disabled list to make his first start since July 28 on Tuesday night in Anaheim. It certainly was a successful return.

Moore earned the win to improve to 15-3 on the season as he gave up only one unearned run over 5 1/3 innings. He was allowed to go 94 pitches deep as he gave up just four hits and four walks with six strikeouts. Moore's ERA is at 3.27 on the year.

Although there was a large gap in between, Moore has now won his last seven consecutive decisions. In fact, he's 7-0 over his last eight starts. Now that Moore has fully returned to the rotation for the Rays, he'll make his next scheduled start on Sunday at Seattle.
