Rays pitcher Drew Smyly expects to undergo an MRI on his injured shoulder Monday, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Smyly, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday, said he started to feel tightness and stiffness in his shoulder during Tuesday's start against the Red Sox.
"You try to stay positive," Smyly said.
Smyly owns a 2.70 ERA and 21:3 K:BB ratio in 16 2/3 innings over his first three starts.
