Rays reliever Kirby Yates made his first minor-league rehab appearance on Thursday, tossing one inning for Class A Charlotte. Yates allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits while striking out two.

Yates is working his way back from a strained pectoral muscle that has kept him on the disabled list since mid-April. The team has not revealed a firm timetable for when he might be able to re-join the team.
