Reds outfielder Jason Bourgeois will begin a rehab assignment with the Triple-A Louisville Bats, the minor-league affiliate announced.
Bourgeois hasn't played a game this season due to a shoulder fracture sustained during spring training. Bourgeois was placed on the 60-day disabled list at the start of the season, which was retroactive to March 27.
Bourgeois will be available for Monday night's game against the Columbus Clippers.
