Reds pitcher Jason Marquis allowed four runs, two earned, on 10 hits in 5 2/3 innings of work in Cincinnati's 5-4 loss to the Rockies on Monday, but did not factor into a decision.
Marquis had issues in the first inning when he surrendered an RBI single to Nolan Arenado with a man on second. Then in the second, Marquis gave up another RBI single with runners on second and third to DJ LeMahieu, plating two runs. Marquis then allowed a solo home run to Nolan Arenado in the fourth.
Marquis, who remains 3-4, moved his ERA to 6.46 in 47 1/3 innings of work. He will look to bounce back Sunday against the Nationals.
