The Angels have signed 2B/OF Bill Hall to a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training, according to FoxSports.com's Ken Rosenthal.
Hall made 14 plate appearances for the Orioles in 2012, hitting a solo home run and a single to go with five walks, good for a .222/.500/.566 line. He spent most of the season at Triple-A Norfolk (Va.), hitting .246/.300/.430 with 15 home runs in 370 plate appearances.
Hall has also made more than 250 career plate appearances at shortstop and third base, but he hasn't played the former since 2006 or the latter regularly since 2009.
He has played the role of major-league journeyman since the Brewers, the team that drafted him, traded him to the Mariners in 2009 for minor-league pitcher Ruben Flores. The Mariners traded Hall to the Red Sox for first baseman Casey Kotchman the following offseason, and Hall made appearances with the Astros and Giants in 2011.
