Mets closer Frank Francisco is out at least for Wednesday's game due to elbow tendinitis, Marc Carig of Newsday reported. Francisco has already undergone an MRI, Carig reported.
Francisco has appeared just twice in the last seven days, Sept. 12 and Sept. 16. He also missed 36 games earlier this season due to a strained oblique. Since returning from the oblique injury, Francisco hasn't blown a save against five successes despite a 6.75 ERA in 13.1 innings.
