The Rockies have scratched rookie starter Drew Pomeranz from Wednesday's scheduled start, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reported Tuesday.
Pomeranz is expected to start Sunday for the Rockies. The club could be trying to manage Pomeranz's innings down the stretch -- he threw a total of 119.1 innings last season and is at 111.1 between all levels this season. He has struggled along with the rest of the Rockies' staff this season, posting a 5.04 ERA and a 4.38 FIP.
Guillermo Moscoso was scratched from his scheduled start Monday at Triple-A Colorado Springs according to Troy Renck of the Denver Post. He is a likely candidate to replace Pomeranz for Wednesday's start.
