The Rockies will likely attempt to re-sign veteran left-hander Jeff Francis this offseason, according to Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post.
Francis is 4-4 with a 6.07 ERA and 1.47 WHIP in 15 starts this year.
According to Saunders, Francis is a good fit for the Rockies' four-man, 75-pitch-per-start rotation and gives the pitching staff a veteran presence.
Jorge de la Rosa (Tommy John surgery), who has an $11 million player option for 2013, and Juan Nicasio (knee surgery) are expected to return to the team by spring training.
