White Sox reliever Zach Putnam is expected to return to action for the big league club in time for the series opener Friday in Seattle, per MLB.com.
Putnam has been sidelined since July 23 with shoulder inflammation. He began a rehab stint for Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.
