Royals catcher Salvador Perez went 3 for 3 with a double, a home run and three RBI in his team's 9-5 win over the Reds Tuesday.
Perez entered Tuesday's action 2 for 7 with no extra-base hits in four games before his offensive explosion, which leaves him with a .500 batting average in the early-going. He has a .301/.331/.451 career line over his first 933 career regular-season at-bats.
