Mets outfielder Scott Hairston's sixth-inning double secured a cycle for him on Friday. Against the Rockies in Coors, Hairston singled in the second, homered in the fourth, tripled on an 0-2 count in the fifth, and then doubled in the sixth. Cycle.
It's the fifth time an opposing player has "cycled" in Coors Field, and Hairston is the 10th Met to pull off the feat (and the first since Jose Reyes back in 2006).
The Padres and Marlins remain the only active franchises never to have a player hit for the cycle.
