The Tigers have acquired pitcher Greg Ross from the Braves, the team announced.
Ross is the player to be named later in the deal that sent infielder Jeff Baker to Atlanta. The 23-year-old Ross has pitched in Single-A this season, appearing as a starter in 21 of his 25 games. In 131 innings, Ross has a 4.60 ERA. While he’s managed to strike out 106 batters, he’s also given up 146 hits.
Since joining the Braves, Baker has only 10 plate appearances. He has one hit with his new team, and is batting just .111/.200/.111 for Atlanta. The deal completes the trade between the Tigers and the Braves.
