The Tigers have picked up options on reliever Octavio Dotel and shortstop Jhonny Peralta, according to MLive.com’s Chris Iott.

The 30-year-old Peralta will be brought back for $6 million. While he hit just .239/.305/.384 during the regular season, his postseason performance enticed the Tigers to bring him back, according to CBSSports.com’s Jon Heyman. With Peralta now off the market, Stephen Drew remains the only legitimate free-agent option at short.

Dotel’s $3.5 million option also will be picked up. The 38-year-old reliever had a 3.57 ERA and a 2.30 FIP for the Tigers in 58 innings pitched. Dotel only threw five innings during the Tigers’ World Series run but did not allow any runs during his appearances.
