The first quality start of a rocky rookie season for Twins right-hander Trevor May on Sunday against the White Sox was notable for another reason - he walked none and fanned 10 along the way.
May allowed three runs on five hits in six innings in raising his record to 3-4. His troubles began in the fourth, when he yielded RBI singles to Jose Abreu and Conor Gillaspie. He gave up a solo home run to Adrian Nieto in the fifth, but was able to maintain the lead.
His next start is slated for next weekend against Cleveland.
