The Minnesota Twins have declined a $9.25-million option on pitcher Scott Baker, making him a free agent.

The team remains interested in re-signing Baker, who missed the 2012 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery.

Baker has pitched for the Twins for seven seasons, going 63-48 with a 4.15 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 770 strikeouts in 958 innings.
