Twins starter Kyle Gibson took a tough-luck loss on Tuesday, as he posted his seventh quality start of the season, but the Cardinals took the 3-2 victory. The right-hander pitched six innings, allowing three runs on six hits. He walked two and struck out four, as his ERA increased a tick to 3.33.
Despite the ultimate result, this was a nice rebound effort from Gibson, who had given up 10 runs (nine earned) over 13 innings in his previous two starts. His record drops to 4-5 with Tuesday's loss.
He's scheduled to make his next start on Sunday at home against the Cubs.
