Giancarlo Stanton, who will miss a third straight game Friday, may require arthroscopic knee surgery for a recurring issue according to The Palm Beach Post.
There is a loose body "like the tip of your pinky" in his right knee, Stanton said. The team and Stanton will decide Friday whether or not surgery will be possible or if he can play through the injury. If he undergoes surgery, the recovery time will likely be in the 2-4 week range -- Brewers outfielder Corey Hart recovered from a similar surgery in three weeks prior to the start of the season.
