The Yankees signed relief pitcher Sergio Santos to a major-league contract and he will join their bullpen for Saturday's game, the team announced.
Santos agreed to a minor-league deal with the Yankees in early June after electing to become a free agent when the Dodgers designated him for assignment.
Santos has a 4.73 ERA in 13 1/3 innings this season. He recorded 30 saves for the White Sox in 2011.
