De Jesus was released from his minor-league contract by the Twins on Wednesday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
De Jesus has spent the year in the high minors in the Twins' and White Sox's systems but hasn't done much of note, hitting .235/.337/.325 in 52 games. The 32-year-old hasn't appeared in the majors since 2016.

Twins' Ivan De Jesus: Joins Twins on MiLB deal
De Jesus agreed to a minor-league contract with Minnesota on Thursday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
De Jesus was bought out of his independent league contract by the White Sox at the beginning of May, and he put together a .238/.347/.317 slash line over 22 contests before being issued his release. He'll aim for a better result with the Twins, and he'll report to Double-A Pensacola after putting pen to paper.

White Sox's Ivan De Jesus: Latches on with White Sox
The White Sox purchased De Jesus' contract from the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League on Tuesday.
De Jesus appeared in 10 games with the Ducks prior to joining the White Sox, slashing .306/.409/.333 with five RBI and a 7:4 BB:K in those contests. The veteran utility man, who owns a career .242/.303/.327 triple-slash across parts of four major-league seasons (228 games), figures to serve as organizational depth.

Red Sox's Ivan De Jesus: Returns to Boston
De Jesus signed a minor-league contract with the Red Sox on Tuesday, Chris Cotillo of SB Nation reports.
After playing in 180 games at the major-league level the previous two seasons, De Jesus didn't appear in a single game for the Brewers in 2017 as the shortstop spent the entire year with Triple-A Colorado Springs. During that time, he slashed .345/.407/.488 with seven home runs and 65 RBI, and should be able to provide a little extra depth to the Red Sox's infield if needed this upcoming season.

Brewers' Ivan De Jesus: Set to report to minors
De Jesus has not received any other MLB offers and expects to begin the season at Triple-A Colorado Springs, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.
De Jesus pursued other offers after being left off the Brewers' Opening Day roster, but there were no major-league opportunities available to him. The shortstop is coming off a hot spring performance in which he posted a .429 average and a 1.031 OPS over 27 games, a trend he will hope to continue in the hitter-friendly confines of Colorado Springs.

Brewers' Ivan De Jesus: Misses major league cut
De Jesus was informed Tuesday that he did not make the Brewers' Opening Day roster, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Despite posting a gaudy .409 average (18-for-44) over 22 Cactus League games this spring, the Brewers ultimately decided to leave De Jesus off the 25-man roster. He'll likely open the season in the hitter-friendly environment of Triple-A Colorado Springs if he doesn't land an MLB opportunity in the next 48 to 72 hours.

Brewers' Ivan De Jesus: Signs minor league pact with Brewers
De Jesus signed a minor league contract with the Brewers on Monday that includes an invitation to spring training.
He played in 104 games for the Reds last year, grading out as a replacement-level player (0.1 fWAR). De Jesus can play all four infield positions, which is what makes him appealing in a real life sense, but he has a career 71 wRC+ in 545 plate appearances, making him unappealing in fantasy. Look for him to start the year at Triple-A.

De Jesus was on the major league roster the entire year, but he only acted as a reserve utility player for the bulk of the season. With younger players waiting in the upper levels of the minors, the Reds decided to cast the 29-year-old off the 40-man roster, although given his major league experience, he very well could be back in the big leagues at some point in 2017.
