Donald Veal: Released by Rangers on Monday
Veal was released by the Rangers on Monday, Baseball America reports.
Veal pitched well in the minors in the Braves organization last season, but was bad in the majors. He also didn't raise his stock during spring training with the Rangers, giving up two earned runs over an inning. Although he doesn't have very good stats to his name thus far, Veal's left-handedness alone could land him a job with a club looking for organizational pitching depth.

Rangers' Donald Veal: Signs with Rangers
Veal signed a minor league contract with the Rangers on Wednesday, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Veal appeared in just five games with the Braves in 2015, allowing seven earned runs with three home runs over 4.1 innings of work before ultimately being released from the organization. He'll likely start the year as a reliever at the minor league level.
