Mariners' Mike Baxter: Signs minor league contract
Baxter signed a minor-league deal with the Mariners, ESPN's Buster Olney reports.
Baxter appeared in 34 games for the Cubs last season, putting together a .246/.348/.263 slash line in 57 at-bats. He's never recorded more than 200 at-bats in any of his six major league seasons, so he'll likely slot in as organizational depth for the Mariners moving forward.
