Jeff Manship: Fails physical; contract voided
The Reds voided Manship's contract after the pitcher failed his physical.
Manship had recently agreed to a minor-league deal with the Reds that included an invitation to big-league spring training. There has been no word given as to why Manship failed the physical but this could prohibit the 33-year-old from latching on with another organization.

Reds' Jeff Manship: Joins Reds on minor-league deal
The Reds signed Manship to a minor-league contract with an invite to spring training Tuesday, Chris Cotillo of SB Nation reports.
Manship had a 3.67 ERA and 1.29 WHIP across 21 starts with the NC Dinos in the Korea Baseball Organization in 2017. The 33-year-old spent the prior two seasons in Cleveland with a 2.07 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 69 strikeouts over 82.2 innings of relief, and a strong spring training would likely provide him a solid opportunity in Cincinnati's bullpen for 2018.

Jeff Manship: Heading to Korea Baseball Organization
Manship signed with the NC Dinos of the KBO on Saturday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
Manship hit free agency this offseason after being non-tendered by the Indians in December. He made 53 relief appearances for Cleveland in 2016, notching a 3.12 ERA and 1.43 ERA.

Jeff Manship: Non-tendered by Cleveland
Manship was non-tendered by the Indians on Friday.
Manship was lights out in his first season in Cleveland in 2015, posting a minuscule 0.92 ERA with 33 strikeouts in 39.1 innings, and though he took a step back in 2016, he still proved himself to be a capable middle reliever. There were some red flags though, as the 31-year-old had a 5.16 FIP and 4.6 BB/9, but he should be able to find a home on the open market and win a roster spot in a big league bullpen.

Indians' Jeff Manship: Activated from disabled list Thursday
Manship (wrist) was activated from the 15-day DL on Thursday.
Manship has been out since July 29 with tendinitis in his wrist, but will rejoin the team prior to their game against the Angels on Thursday. In a corresponding move, the club optioned T.J. House to Triple-A Columbus. Manship has posted a 3.38 ERA with a 1.47 WHIP during 29.1 innings of work this season.

Indians' Jeff Manship: Could return Thursday
Manship (wrist) could return from the DL as soon as Thursday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
A bout of wrist tendinitis forced Manship to the DL late last month, but he was able to resume a throwing program just days later and it now sounds like he could return without a minor league rehab assignment. Manship has racked up only six holds this year and has been pushed further down the bullpen hierarchy with the recent acquisition of Andrew Miller.

Manship (wrist) is playing catch at 90 feet, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Manship was able to get back to a throwing program pretty quickly after landing on the DL on July 29 but he remains sidelined. It appears mid-August is a best-case scenario for his return.

Indians' Jeff Manship: Lands on disabled list Friday
Manship (wrist) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday with wrist tendinitis, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
Manship's wrist tendinitis has affected his performance of late as he allowed earned runs in his two most recent outings and he gave up two home runs in his last 2.2 innings of work. Manship landing on the DL on Friday opened a spot on the active roster for Zach McAllister, who was activated in a corresponding move. There is no timetable for Manship's return at this time.
