Jordan Danks: Released by Rangers on Monday
Danks was released by the Rangers on Monday, Baseball America reports.
Danks was decent with the Triple-A affiliate of the Phillies last season, swatting 27 doubles, but the outfielder just hasn't been able to translate it into big-league success. He also failed to garner a hit in four spring games with Texas, leading them to release him. Danks has seen some success at the Triple-A level over the years, so he could latch on with an organization in need of organizational outfield depth.

Rangers' Jordan Danks: Signs minor league deal with Rangers
Danks agreed to a minor league deal with the Rangers on Tuesday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
Danks spent nearly all of last season at Triple-A Lehigh in the Phillies organization, posting a .257/.318/.368 slash line to go with 27 doubles in 408 at-bats. He'll join the Rangers on a minor league contract and it has not been announced at this point whether or not he'll receive an invite to major league spring training.
