Blue Jays' Melky Mesa: Re-signs with Toronto
Mesa re-signed with the Blue Jays on Monday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
Mesa split time between the organization's Double-A and Triple-A levels this season, but struggled mightily after earning the promotion to the tune of a .215/.259/.358 slash line with 89 strikeouts with Triple-A Buffalo. The outfielder will likely continue to serve simply as organizational depth.
