Angels' Yunesky Maya: Heads to minor league camp
Maya was sent to minor league camp Saturday, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
Maya signed a minor league deal with the Angels in January and was expected to begin the year at Triple-A Salt Lake. With 16 total MLB outings under his belt, despite being 34 years old, Maya could find his way into the bullpen of the Angels later in the summer as added depth.

Yunesky Maya: Signs minor league deal with Angels
Maya signed a minor league deal with the Angels on Wednesday, which includes an invite to spring training, MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez reports.
The 34-year-old righty made brief appearances in the big leagues for the Nationals from 2010 to 2013, but he pitched in Korea last season, which adds some uncertainty. It seems likely that he will be working as a reliever in an attempt to give new life to his career, but odds are he will spend most, if not all of 2016 in the minors.
